what do you get to a tank - FR TDI

I probably could get more out of it but dont fancy driving it like an old woman all the time, but at a steady 70mph the other day the computer said it was doing 55mpg but when i fdropped it to overtake it went down to 40mpg but im still not bothered!

If I had fun for the full tank I think i'd be looking at 400-500.

Last full tank I got 455 miles from.

Last night was up to 47.2MPG @ 70MPH (25 miles of which motorway - the latter part of a 33 mile journey) after a distance of 33 miles; travelling down a slight hill though. Travelling to work on the motorway I get about 41.5 MPG at the end of the Motorway run (Lancaster to Preston, the A roads to Blackburn)

My TDI FR has now done about 1200 miles since 1st September when I got it.

Fuel computer's very accurate in mine. At fourth fill up, total 1301 miles, my mpg over last tank was 40.02 mpg actual, 40.1 mpg on the trip.

First two tanks yielded 38 mpg

I think it will gradually improve, but I can't be bothered with cruising at 70 to see what mpg I get! For the performance, which I DO make use of, 40 mpg is excellent.
