I think its only because I'm not using it much, with being out of work. So my daily run out is about 3 miles to the gym and back meaning it hardly gets up to temperature either.

Why not add a little 3 mile jog to your gym trip? ;)

Had 2 new front tyres fitted. Feels nice having grip again lol.

Was going to try a different tyre, but just got the eagle f1s again.

I do so little miles these Potenza's are never gonna need replacing! They will probably begin to perish before they run out of tread lol

Well clever me ... when I was swapping over the innards of my remote key to the new case - I managed to break the transponder trying to remove it! :censored:

I found Burgh Locks in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh - so I popped over there this morning. The guy is brilliant, he said he could fit a new transponder and code it right there and then for £65. I asked if he could supply and code another flip key and he said yes, for £135. If I bought another coded flip key he said he wouldn't charge me the £65 to fix my original.

So within about half an hour I had 2 working flip keys for £135. :D

He is mobile too so can come out to you if needed. Highly recommended.

What product did you use Matt?

If it works like the things I've seen advertised, I'd be sceptical too, it seems completely alien to clean a dirty car with a cloth and some polish before washing it first.

What wheels did you get ? :D you answer first haha

It's called "Greased Lightning" can be had for £15 per bottle.

I urge you to try it, I was literally laughing my head off at how good/effortless it was.

Cheers Matt, will definitely try it, but waiting for a date for my mate to detail the car first.

As for the wheels, if I've got to wait, it's only fair you do too :p!

the showroom spray stuff? ive got a bottle of it in the garage, its good stuff but i spray it on before washing the car with the two bucket method. Im too nervous to wipe off dirt without water, plus if you get it over your vinyl plastic'y bits like around the window and dont wipe it off well enough it leaves stain marks. I could see myself using it if the car was only lightly soiled tho, which is actually never in winter lol

I used the JML Mantis cleaner on my old Kia, looked great and surprisingly I didn't notice any scratch marks from it, but then I only used it a few times and the car was never very dirty when I used it.

Fair play for going to effort of taking the seats out, tut tut for letting it get like that in the first place.

Are there stains all over your seat or is it just the image quality?

It's just where some parts of the seats are wet and some are dry. Seat can be taken out in 20 mins, so easy as its only 4 bolts.

Talking of damp patches on seats:censored:[:@]

I had to spend 20 minutes scrubbing and cleaning my passenger seat last night, as my little boy (who is currently potty training) decided just after climbing in to the front of the car upon arriving home, that it would be an excellent time to empty his bladder

Needless to say i wasn't very happy but what can you do. I now have one very wet, but very clean front passenger seat. To be fair i think he was more upset than i was

Kids eh
