What could I take from a mk4 polo?

My mate just wrote off his mk4 polo curbing it round a corner doing only 30 in the wet

Im just seeing is there anything I could steal from it before it hits the scrappies? just wee bits n bobs, I was thinking about taking the front and rear seats cause mine have 1 or 2 fag burns from certain d**ks not being careful!

Yep the seats are a straight swap so nick them first. Anything in the dashboard is the same as the ibiza so if he has any decent speakers etc get them out of it. Spare wheel, jack and the tool kits all the same so get that if its in better condition that your own. If its the same engine, you could get various bits off of that for your own car, exhaust would be good to take if its decent as they can be expensive to replace.

exhaust
most interior parts

is it more of a box shape than an ibiza shape.

i had a mk3 polo - looked nothing like an ibiza and mines was a 1.3

edit: checked google and it comes up with a old looking square shape mk3 and a mk4 double when you search mk3 polo!

Yeah it was the changeover year, i think they must have had a surplus supply of 1.3 engines as i have spotted quite a few mk4's with 1.3 engines

do mk4 exhausts fit ibizas then? need a cheap backbox for mine, is the pipework the same

do the door cards fit cause he's got big space for door speakers

I would get the cars jacked up and check the similarities between the exhausts as one is a 1.3 and one is a 1.4. I think the doors on the Ibiza and the Polo are slightly different shapes so i doubt the door cards would fit.

think he's selling all parts, but he's pricing getting it fixed but probably isn't worth it.
