VAG Saloons

Check out our series for VAG based saloon cars. www.backdraftmotorsport.com click on VAG Saloons.
Apart from the A4, Leon Mk1 championship cars are going quite cheap.
The problem with starting from scratch is the cost of all the parts even if you do the work yourself. Our Audi TT race car has cost in the region of £40k, even with us doing most of the work!
It's great fun when you do get out there though!
Give me a call if you want any advice or ideas.

VAG Saloons website

Yes your right Bill.
We have a new website that will be up and running by the end of next week.
TBH though the regs are very simple for VAG Saloons. All VAG based saloon race cars are eligible. The series runs within the Dunlop MSN Saloon championship. For dates, tech regs, entries etc for Dunlop MSN Saloons visit www.rodbirley.com .
When the new site is running. we will have an up to date calender, points table and info. We really need info about the drivers and their cars. So if you or anyone is interested, send me pictures and info about you and your car and I will put them on the website. Registration for VAG Saloons is free of charge as it is sponsored by us.

DMN Regs

I'm exactly the same Bill sometimes I go on websites and I cant see for looking. I had to ask too.
http://www.rodbirley.com/DMN regs V15.4.pdf
Hopefully you can just click on that link.
I think with your power etc and front wheel drive you will be class B or c, depending on a couple of other things.
Just to confuse matter there aren't any classes for the VAG saloons points table. Thats why we are doing an award for highest place and hardest charging.
I have to say it will need a bit of tweeking through the season I'm sure. The main idea is to create a friendly competitive environment for racers with VAG cars to go and play.
It would be great to see you there Bill, together with anyone else you can drag along.
Last season we had 3 Seat Leon ex championship cars, Seat Ibiza, VW Lupo, couple of golfs, VW Scirroco, Audi A4 and me in the TT. Hopefully we can build on that this year.
Best Regards
