What bulbs?!

Hi guys,
Trying to brighten up my headlights and I've read that OSRAM and PHILIPS are probably the best choices... I've narrowed it down to

Osram Night Breaker OR Osram Cool Blue Intense

OR

Philips Xtreme Vision OR Philips Whitevision

What do you guys recommend?! I don't mind spending a little bit more for the Philips bulbs, but is the greater price justified? Or are the Osrams just as good??

Finally, am I right in thinking I need 4 bulbs in total, 2 for dipped and 2 for main?

I've used both the Osram NightBreakers and the Philips Xtreme's.

For performance and light output they were much the same. The big difference was I never had any failures with the Philips bulbs however with the Osrams I had 2 failures. Osrams didn't even last 1 year.

Currently have the philips extreme vision +130 which are brilliant, had them as dipped for a year then moved them to full beams, the brightness is amazing on them over standard.

I swapped them for ultra H7 bulbs in the dipped because I wanted a whiter light instead.

Thanks guys, a few people have told me that Philips white vision are a nicer colour although they don't reach as far...which is the nicer bulb colour in your opinion?

Philips white vision is nice to look at but I agree, the range is not as good. The extreme vision ones are yellow, which is why they are in my full beam and the white ones in the dipped, light when I want it, style when I dont.

Thanks mate! Think I'm going to get Phillips White vision for my dipped then. Perhaps I'll upgrade my full beam though I never seem to use it so I will see how I get on! Cheers again.
