my Discs are shot and the pads aint much better, so i need to change. obviously i want to "upgrade" but i dont want my wallet to take a pounding.

they will be for 90 normal granny driving 8% the odd blast down a country lane, and the other 2% will be at the nurberg ring in june!

so what you all reckon? black diamonds with predator pads would do for the ring but £190-210 for just fronts is abit much

Black diamond discs are rather good though :)

I'd be tempted to see if I could get hold of some grooved discs and maybe some fast road pads? Or perhaps just take a spare set to the 'ring?

more worried about brake fade half way round the lap, then ruining the experiance which is why i kind of dont want to fit a cheap set up front, its got braided hoses and the fluid is only a few months old. just the actually discs/pads that suck

They are expensive but I can't fault Ferrodo DS2500 pads. If you are planning any track use you will not experience any fade.

the more i look the more its going to cost lol. say i went for the ferrodo ds2500 because ive heard alot of good things about them what discs should i run, or are discs of less an importance.

excellent pads, standard discs ?

im also going to need 4 tyres which is why im not keen on spending loads and then theres fuel there and back, going to be an expensive few days lol

when it comes round to doing my brakes , i think im going to opt for some rotordisc disks and ds2500's , only fancy the rotordisc's as there a bit of eye candy and competitivley priced at around £110 for the front and about the same for the rear

to be honest i havent been near a track since i fitted the braided hoses, and with the pads and discs being shite the pedal has never felt great, i just like the thought of knowing they are there and to be honest at £60ish i think its a investment.

i tend to keep the brake fluid fresh which is one of the most over looked things imho. this helps loads

Ferrodo DS2500's are about twice as much as predator normal or track pads lol! thinking predator pads, and groved black diamond discs, or maybe £15 for the combi? cant help but feel its over kill for what i need though.

EBC do discs for £89.99 neither drilled or grooved though, £40 cheaper than diamonds? hmmm

found 4 toyo proxys for £126 :D

I'm just running cheapo Red Dot grooved discs. It's the pads that are important, funky grooved discs are just eye candy TBH!

ebay dude, just search your tyre size and required make. my brother got 4 kuhmos off there. i reckon they sell them very close to cost as even at work (bmw) it would cost me around £145 for the same 4. at our price well over £200 if we added our mark up lol
