up untill i brought my cupra, i used to brake quite aggressively, but now with these brembo's its a different story.

the pads are on the way out and i dont know what to buy.

my local garage has reccomended mintex, i have a budget of about £40-£70

can anyone make any reccomendations please

cheers

Save a bit more money and get the Ferrodo DS2500, they are about £120 but they are by far the best.
Whatever you do DNT get EBC Red's

I use the brembo ones but there expensive at £130 which is the average price for brake pads for these cars.

Search on ebay i saw some apec front pads on there for about £40 and they were for the brembo calipers. they wont be any good but within your budget.

I dont know?? i find the brembos very very good and have stuck with them and never changed. I never used the ferrodos but i might have a go one day. Do they have the wear indicators on? i have been told they dont which is probably why i dont use them??

The brembo's are a very good pad mate, I only went for the Ferodo's because they were cheaper initially. I'm glad i did though as they are alot better when they get hot, where the brembo's will begin to fade away!
They don't have the ware indicator on them mate but you know they're knackerd when you get sparks poping up next to your wing mirrors:p

In all seriousness though you can just look through your alloys to see how much meterial is left on the pad. The standard indicators are prone to fail anyway:shrug:
