hi peeps. im havin trouble with my cupra. it's only been doing it about a week, yet it's getting worse. i'm letting the car run 15-20mins before giving any acceleration, and it doesnt seem to be going anywhere! it feels real jerky, as if im pulling a 2 tonne truck! it's going through the rev range pretty slow, and it feels like its a bout to stall! the only fault ive got on the car right now is a camshaft positioning sensor and my local seat dealer said that part was never made for the mk3 cupra, and isn't available (about 3-4 months back). so is the vag-com coming up with imaginary codes??? we erased the fault and thats it. i havent had any probs. my friends s3 experienced exactly the same problem and replaced the maf sensor. he said that sorted it. would i be experiencing the same problem?? any 'turbo friendly' advice would be appreciated. going to get it on the vag-com again this tuesday.

MAF is common.. can make driving it very strange, jerky, flat... etc
disconnecting MAF and driving usually confirms a dying MAF if it drives stronger without it than with it. (it will put a light on the dash and flag a fault however)

Misfires are coil packs.. one or more at once if your unlucky.
drops a cylinder, usually under boost if its failing, or all the time if its failed dead.
