Were there ever any 110 sports produced?

Hi guys, this is my first post, being a long term observer.

I currently run a Golf 115 PD (with 180k on the clock) and have spent the weekend looking at Ibiza's as a replacement.

One of the cars I have looked at seems to have a model identity crisis, in that its is being marketed as an 04 TDI sport 110. To my knowledge, i think the dealer has got it wrong, in that its a 130 sport, with 6 speed (it certainly drives better than the Golf 110's i have driven in the past).

Were there ever any 110 sports produced? or have i found a dealer that does not know what its worth. I have checked the sticker in the spare wheel well, and it only states ibiza 1.9 sport.

Your thoughts would be appreciated, also any ideas what i should be paying for a 04 130 sport with 50k on the clock?

thanks

Andy H

seat did produce a 110 sport from 2004 onwards however i have an 04 plate sport and it is the 130 which i can only assume was registered late as from 2004 onwards you could only get a 130 in the fr. the quickest way to check would be to get an online insurance quote and enter the reg number this should bring up which one it is

Does it have a six speed gearbox?
As far as im aware they only did the 110 as a non PD engine in the mk3. I may be wrong but im pretty sure all the mk4's are PD's.
It could be either a 100 or a 130 but as ive said, if its a 130 it will have the six speed gearbox.

Your bang on, all Mk4 TDI models are PD.

1.9 TDI 100 BHP (On S, SE, Some Sport Models)
1.9 TDI 130 BHP (On Sport, Cordoba SE, FR)
1.9 TDI 160 BHP (On Cupra TDI)

I'm not 100% on the 1.4 TDI models. The 110 BHP & 90 BHP models are Non-PD. The 130 BHP & 160 BHP models have 6-Speed gearboxes, the 100 BHP have 5-Speed gearboxes.

In 2004 when SEAT released the 'FR' model, the Sport was no longer available with the 130 BHP TDI engine, only 100 BHP and petrol models... they also removed the climate control and a few other things ... the wing mirrors & door handles were also colour coded, they weren't on the previous TDI models.

If the model the 'OP' is looking at is a Sport with a 6-Speed gearbox ... I'm 100% sure it'll be a 130 PD TDI. :)

If you checked the sticker in the spare wheel well, look for ASZ, thats the 96kW/130BHP TDI engine code. :)
