Wax removal

My car was detailed a few months back now and I've over time built up a collection of products to use.

Weather permitting I am going to give the car a good going over.

My question is do I need to strip the old wax off using something like fairy liquid and then polish, seal, wax it again?

Probably a stupid question but need to check!

Don't worry, just wash it, clay it, polish it, etc etc. If a polish can remove scratches, it won't have a lot of trouble removing wax ;)

He was asking for guidance not specifically about wax removal, check the wording of the first post.

I would go with the advice of the professional detailer myself.

All you'll need to do is wash it and re-apply the wax. The wax I put on should still be there, as well as the sealants etc. :D

Thanks!

I shall do just that.

How long is it likely to be before I need to to anymore to it then?

And Gary (Refined Reflections) detailed my car a few months back so it seems I dont need to remove the wax at all a top up will suffice. Thats where the confusion about what I needed to do has arisen!
