water in footwells

Hi everyone, just joined due to purchase of seat leon that now resembles a swimming pool in rear footwells and front driver side. Have seen on the site that there are numerous places where they leak. I have sealed the rear doors with silicon as per the guide on this site, but problem no better. I was considering taking all the carpets out completely and trying to see if I can spot the point of entry. Has anyone else tried this? or is it better to try one thing at a time until all ideas are exhausted? If I take front seats out and disconnect battery, will radio code need to be input? This is for an 02 Leon 1.6s:confused:

Any help appreciated, or does anyone know of a good Seat dealer in south wales that can sort the problem at a reasonable price.
