Have spotted this on a few Leon's now mine have gone the same way NO damage to the lens.
TRYING to get SEAT to fix the fault under warranty - it would be a MOT failure if the car was put in.[even tried taking the rubber covers off to help?]
Are there many out there and have you got yours fixed?????

Mine does it every now and again only seems to happen after the hose pipe has been on it when its washed.
For some strange reason the local jet wash does not seem to have the same problem.

I mentioned it to the dealer and they just said as long as its not filling up with water don't worry about it.

What can you do???

IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN - thats the problem, unless they fit wipers to the INSIDE of the lens!!!??! It's no easy teack to remove the lens either think its front bumper off?!

Try searching on mk4 ibizas, mega problem with them. I had one of mine replaced under warrenty (ibiza) but it was like a goldfish bowl. You need to avoid jetwashing directly at the lights, there are many hints and tips on there.. As for the mot, unless the beam is incorrect or the chrome is damaged/corroded it will pass, according to my dealer anyhow............

I had the same on my 02 reg Astra. I'd known people who had the replaced under warrenty but the VX dealer just read out a statement from Vauxhall saying that they must not replace the unit under warrenty. Think it got too expensive for them.

The solution recommended was to leave the light on for 20 mins to burn off the water !!!

Got rid of the car a month or so later so never tried the 'fix'
