Some time ago I spilt soup on my passenger seat (don't ask) and tried cleaning with those dry foam cleaners and car upholstery sprays to no avail. I'd also noticed that my drivers seat was looking a bit grey with red stitching no longer as bright as it once was. So today i bit the bullet took passenger seat out of the car and removed the base foam and cover then chucked the cover in the washing machine, with it set to hand wash 25 degrees! What a result, it looks like new, nice bright red stitching and lovely black again! next drivers side ! So if your brave and have an hour to kill give it a go! At your own risk of course!! :D

Not that bad really takes about an hour to get seat out of car and cover off, I'd never done it before, yeah its tricky and you need to work in the right order but no hard!! Might take photos next time?

Hi Pete,

Mine are in the wash as we speak :)
Did you tumble dry yours or just let them dry naturally?
Also, did you take all the little mettle rods out of yours? I've taken most of them out but I decided not to bother with the curved ones as they looked like a nightmare!! Hopefuly my washing machine wont explode, that would not please the missus

They're out now.
Dried them on the radiator like you as they werent all that wet when I took them out. They look good. I think I will need to run the vacuum over them again tho as there is some washing powder in the cracks where it couldnt be rinsed out properly. brushes right off tho.
Gonna fit the sub this afternoon so wil leave the seats out for now :)
