Has anyone fitted a level sensor yet.

Was wondering where to find/look for the cabling for it. guess under the belly or under the wheel arch cover??

Cheers

hello processpaul,

to cut a long story short ... I've already posted some infos along with a retrofitting guide from our German forum in the neighbour-board ;)

(see "w w w . s e a t f o r u m . n e t/forum/showthread.php?t=65992" ... just eliminate the blanks)

=> Windscreen washer sensor

Hope you'll manage.

Thanks alot Klawit

only just found that site today and just found it

Looks more complicated than expected. Was hoping not to have to take the instrument panel out....oh well just have to live without it...

Thanks anyway.

Hello

Looked through the instructions but couldn't work out what the part number is for the sensor.
Might be worth a go if i could get the sensor !
Already had the dash apart to get a few bits off the IP.

Hi Wilkip,

though I didn't refit this myself yet, all ALTEAs are said to come already fitted with the sensor as it's standard ... only the cables are missing and the ECU setting hat to be activated.
That's why there is no partno. mentioned in the instructions.

This is confirmed at least up till modelyear 2006, as several members in our forum reported successful refitting ... but no infos on my07 yet.

greets ... Klaus

Thanks for that info, i'll have a look if its fitted...
Whats the bit about the "ECU setting " sounds like a dealer thing ?

Rocco

Last month i was going down to the airport (2 hours away) and the washers ran out. It was a dirty day and when i hit the wippers and found no water the dirt on the windscreen made visabilty very bad.
And if the sensor is there and SEAT couldn't come up with the cost for two wires to run to the IP then its a very sad day for SEAT.
