Is there no warning for this in the new Ibiza ???

I've been driving round for the last week thinking ice was blocking the pipes, but i decided to look into it this morning and filled up the wash bottle, seems it was just empty !!. I was surprised that there's no warning of it on the dash though, both my other SEATS had it as does my dad's Toledo !

Andy

Very good chaps !! - at least i know to check now, i'm so lazy !!!!!. I washed the car today, the alloys were IMPITTED with oil and muck etc, got some Wonder Wheels from Halfords and they're immaculate now !!!!. Worth it's weight in gold that stuff !

All the best,
Andy

Damn lucky - mine alloy wheels are all the time black - because I use the brake a little more than normally (especially when I go in the mountain in the curves).

But...welcome to UK,huh? :) :) :) Rain ,rain rain....

Yeah the Wonder Wheels is pretty good stuff and i've tried all brands!. Used to get WW years ago and only just got some again today, it's effortless, just spray it on from the spray bottle (500ml) and aggitate it with the supplied brush. I found it handy to get another spray bottle (like the ones you get car wax in) and fill it with luke-warm water to spray onto the alloys to get rid of the dirt and residue after using the Wonder Wheels. Or just use a good old bucket of water !.

And no, i don't work for Wonder Wheels or Halfords lol !!!!

Have a look at this before you use wonder wheels- its pretty strong.

Well i've been using it for over 6 years without any bother whatsoever, used on the last 4 of my cars plus a couple of mates cars and all the cars my dad has had in the last 6 years !. Halfords have been selling it for years now and i think if there had been any complaints like that then they would have taken it off their list fairly sharpish !

if you're a real enthusiast about the condition of your paint finish you would be able to spot the marring but I suppose for most people if the wheels aren't "dirty" they'll do.

FYI i am a "real enthusiast" about the condition of the paint finish, there is absolutely NO marring/residue/blotting or whatever on my alloys through the use of this, nor has there been on any of the cars i've used it on in the last 6 years. What makes you think i'd be using it if it was "marring" the alloys/paintwork ??

Does the ibiza have two separate reservoir's, one for the front and one for the back?
I've noticed a few times that one set of washers will stop working before the other, most noticeably this time round where the back one hasn't worked since yesterday afternoon (it got lots of use) but the front one still does.

I've only read about the one tank in the handbook.

Sorry if this is stating the bleedin obvious. I imagine the rear one works via a pump and if the rear one is lasting longer it's because an amount of fluid is retained in said pump and supply tubing??

I'm seriously considering having rear mudflaps fitted! I use my rear washer so much!!

that's what i thought, until yesterday when the rear one gave up the ghost but the front is still working fine even after doing my best to empty it to clear the windscreen.

+1 on the mudflaps

Does anyone know how to adjust the front washer jets? the front right ones on mine spray at the wiper blade when it's down rather than above it, so i can't get washer fluid on top of the blade which is a bit naff.

A previous thread recommended using a fine sewing needle.

I used this method and it worked well. Obviously you need to go easy and use the right size needle. The adjustment is very small. If I recall it's three jets per nozzle housing.

All the best with it :)
