I'v just bought a 2005 Lcr. Its first service was at 6500 miles and the cars now at 15000 miles. Does that mean i have to get it service done before 16500 miles to avoid voiding the warranty? I looked at another car but thats first service was at 13000 miles which put me off straight away and was told it may void the warranty with seat?

Cheers

Ken :)

Thanks for the prompt reply :) I was not sure how it worked as i have not got any of the documents for the car till thursday. What should i be looking to pay for the next service then? And does it have to be through a VAG garage so as not to void it?

Thanks Again

Ken

Every 10k or 12 months, whichever comes soonest.

There was a ruling a while back that so long as your car is serviced/repairs carried out by a VAT registered firm, sticking to the manufacturers guidelines and using genuine parts, they cannot refuse a warranty claim because its not been done by a main dealer.

My cars first service was done at 2500 miles as the 12 months was up.
I bought it then so the next service is at 12,500?.

The time will be up before the next mileage but does the dealer simply do a
10k service if it's on say 15K and 20K service if it's inbetween again say on 25K?

Cheers for the replys.

Just looked at some of the paper work i got and on closer inspection it was registered on the 17/1/2005 didnt notice that before. Would you say thats too much over due?

Thanks again
