Warranty Job...

Hi All,

Need some advice from you chaps. I'm leaving my LCR at the dealers on Friday but before they try to boy me off I wanna get some feedback from you lot.

The other day I noticed some paint flaking away from the corner of the passenger side plastic body kit fitting. I could see a little bubbling in the paint work to reveal the black plastic behind.

At the moment its not THAT bad but when I spoke to the bloke at the stealers he said it may not be covered under warranty. I thought these cars came with a 12 year perforation warranty?

May I have your thoughts on this one..

i think perforation warranty is for rust... think it also means it can be as rusty as hell it will only be covered under this is it 'perforates it'.

however, if its bubbling, this suggests it could be covered under a different warranty. how old is the car.
they would probably aargue flaking may be due to damage, especially seeing its the body kit, however id argue about the bubbling.

The car's only on a 54 plate, but I do wanna avoid them just touching it up, though it may be the only solution they can offer. Is it worth asking then to replace the whole thing?
