symtoms steering whell shakes when breaking!!!

have had my brembos on for about 7 months now and on my second set of 305mm discs because they warp so easily, there not cheap at 60 quid per disc. Was just wondering is there anything i can do to strengthen them. I am not breaking that hard and do not do track days maybe there could be something wrong with the calipers. Any help will be much appreciated!!!

I'm afraid its really the discs. It would surprise me if it was the calipers.

You're also not giving it a mighty good run and then going to carwash and splashing water on the discs are you?
I used to work in a carwash for several years and there was quite a few fools who did that...

to straighten them again? Don't think so...

as for carwash I'm talking generally, so could also be hosing it down when you wash it yourself

I'm using some Nitrac discs which are apparently cryoed but not overly impressed with them to date.

My Ferrodo pads have eaten the grooves pretty quickly ands worried about replacing discs with semi-worn pads but can't justify throwing them away when they've got loads of life left in them

the 305's only warp when they are made to get really hot in my experience.. i consummed many sets when track bashing on oe brembo setup.
if they are moving/warping (and not spattered with pad pickup which also causes judder) then best to check the pistons and pads are free to move in and out.

i see brembo's now they of that age, which are suffering corrosion between the ally bits and stainless fixings and slider plates. and damn good wire brush and brake cleaner to spangly may well rejuvinate them (if) there is binding.

just fitted rs6 brakes onto my s6, and these were pretty gooed up and corrosion was setting in on them. :( 8 pot brembo's is what they are.

what colour is the disk surface? is it mottled?

they are the standard ibiza r 305mm discs from the seat dealer, when i replaced all the dust covers i gave them a good clean that was not long ago, disc surface is a mirror finnish and does not look as though its overtempted these brakes have bin nothing but trouble since ive had them and my braking is still spongey and gets better when i pump the peddal!!! im baffled i never use them hard and there meant to be used hard!!!

Lots of people use it. Think some people were getting their gearboxs done for their BT ibizas and another said they used them for moped gearboxes or engines...cant remeber which.
