Warning Chimes....?

Hi

The car has no warning chimes when:

1-u open the driver`s door and the engine is running
2-Turn on the igntion

It only has:
1-Seat belt warning
2-Lights on notification

Is there a way to fix this?? by VAG-com maybe...? I did not buy the cable or software but I can go to a service center.....

or should I buy a cable for future small thinges?? and is it easy to use??

1. The engine noise kinda works as the chime in this instance imo
2. that'd be so annoying if my car chimed every time i turned the ignition on.

I complelty agree, my Dad's Astra has a rediculous amount of warning chimes. It's very annoying.

I certinly don't need my car to remind me that the engine is running, as long as theres a chime for the lights being on I'll be happy

On a similar note does the new Ibiza still have the terrifying fuel beep?

it also chimes when you are low of fuel
and if it is icy

as for the low fuel beep, im sure its a nice bong like if you leave your lights on rather than an ear piercing beep in the mk4s lol

And there's the option to have it bong at you if you go over a certain pre-set speed.

oh yea forgot that one got mine set at 70mph
as thats the max speed you can drive legaly on the road... lol

1st day i had it i thought i broken somthing cus it was bongin when i went over 20!
really should have had a good read of the manual first!

One other bong i've had is if you're stuck on a hill in the ice and are revving it whilst someone pushes you. Do it for too long and the car bongs, the glowcoil light and the exhaust light and the handbrake light come on.

turning the ignition off and on again sorts it all though.. can only assume it's a "clutch is getting too hot" bong ?

Nope, not on the normal Ibiza.. Though iirc someone said if you have the Xenon's installed as an option you get a warning?
