Ive, had my cars 20k service done at a garage that isnt Seat.

He doesnt use Seat Approved Parts, all the parts he does use are up to date with Quality and health and safety regs etc.

The job i need doing under warranty has nothing to do with parts he replaced.

Is my warranty void because of this service??

The Dealer seems to think so.

Any help is appreciated.

he needs to use SEAT approved parts for it to keep your warranty as far as i know.

if the repair does not include the replacments of any of the parts and if the fault was not caused by any off the parts then it should still be under warranty.

the coolant pipe has been rubbing on the spring clip on a pipe that runs unerneath, causing the pipe to split and not feed the engine any coolant.

I was driving when it started smoking, checked temp gauge on dashboard and it was fine no overheating, when i got to where i was going (about 1 min of driving left) water was leaking out from the underside.

AA man fom SEAT Assist came to look, found the split hose and made a temp repair.

From what i can see now, car still using water and there is still a small leak, quite a bad smell coming from engine bay still.

You can understand this has nothing to do with an air/fuel filter that would have been replaced on the service.

that claim should be done under warranty as it is not related what so ever to the service.

If they are trying to refuse the claim then contact seat customer services
