had to sand the surface down a bit because the vinyl wouldnt stick properly but it seems ok now

i like the red highlights on the front badge.. might have to steal that idea :D

were the c pillars difficult to wrap? i read you had to take the rear door cards off to do them

@who me - How did you get the red detail on the S badge?

@v0id - Did you have to remove the scuttle panel? if so how? I'm doing mine soon :) I did the pillars on the car, didn't remove anything to do them.

i didnt remove the panel. if you open the bonnet you will have enough space to tuck the vinyl wrap in/cut it. and you can tuck it in on the windscreen side too so it looks perfectly neat. i only sanded mine lightly as the vinyl wouldnt stick strongly otherwise

edit: cant remember if the bonnet opened separately actually.. its been months since i did mine :S

if you take the grill off you'll see two chrome prongs that looks like melted plastic blobs on top cut them off and the s badge pops off leaving the four line inserts.
i used burgundy vinyl hope this helps mate

the pillars was a doddle took about half an hour to do all four. left every thing on just opened doors and cut down insides rear i cut round the handle doesn't look to bad. give it go mate if you don't like it just peel it off good cheap mod:)

You do it all yourself? And much did you sand down until it was a smooth finish? Looks good i would be scared to do that.

i did everything except the roof - needed 4 pairs of hands for that.

i used a small piece of vinyl to test the surface - i gritted until there was a fine layer of dust from the plastic, probably 5 mins at most. i kept testing with the vinyl until it was sticky enough.

i figured if i gritted too much or if i destroyed it, it would be a cheapish replacement seeing as how its just a plastic cover (no idea of cost though). anyway it looks pretty mangled without the vinyl on.. you might be able to stick it on without sanding - test it out

how too :)

First get a strong plastic ruler or a strong piece of anything but try not to use screwdriver if possible because i finds it bends it easy.

Start from the handle and work your way up to unclip it from the mechanism.

also there is a small one at the bottom to be sure but i found it popped off anyway.

All clips can be seen in this picture remove the yellow circles first, then blue.

Once you have done this pull it towards you and that will free it from the red circle clips. You should now have it off just be gentle with the corners dont wanna bend it hehe :)

Hope this helps.
