Guys, considering now that the car is plenty powerful enough for now it just doesnt look as sepcial as I want it to.

So was thinking a white vinyl wrap and some Modern Lines?

Just wondered what your opinions would be?
This is how it stands now

Well, I like it lots as it looks now, but having said that, a vinyl wrap can be done any colour you want and be ripped off if/when you get bored of it. The wheels, I guess you mean Schmidt TH Modern lines? I can't really imagine how they'd look, and they only come in 16", which I'd imagine is what you'd want given that your current wheels are 16".

I dunno, see if someone will photoshop everything for you before you take the plunge.

Only thing I would say... personally, I wouldn't bother refitting the splitter, I just don't think it lines up with anything on a cupra bumper

Thats why Im wanting the wrap instead of a respray, considering that the new 3m wraps out there are good for 7years, and hopefully I'll be getting on a professional wrapping course so I can chop and change when a few times if I want.

I had some Schmidt's up against it last summer before edition when a mate was selling his and it looked mint tbh though I know he had fitment issues on his polo which i'd have to look more into. would have to get the splits though and they also do a dished 15" version which looking back I wish I'd got for my old polo :(

The splits would be very expensive! Would be quite exclusive tho... do you think they'd go over your brakes?

I reckon a harlequin vinyl like the old polos would look pretty awesome myself! You should do that :D

How about matt black? Would be an awesome contrast against some polished rims! (plus should be easier to do than a glossy colour)

Well I've been throwing around the idea with a mate about actually setting up like a little side line / part time business doing wraps for people if we can get sufficient training from a professional provider.
so if that takes off then the car will go through numerous different colour changes lol.

Got to admint tho I was put off with the thought if matt black as it seems to have been done to death on older cars, bt vinyl would look better and more stealth.

Also been getting prices for the splits and they're looking at over £2250 lol so inc a pro wrap its like £3300

then taking into account im beggining to need a new clutch £300
water meth + map adjustment £500

Nice way to blow £4k lol

My bro works for a graphics company and does this all the time. I have seen him at work and have to say its pretty impressive. Its also not a cheap thing to do as car vinyl anint cheap. You can get cheap stuff but the glue damages the paint of the car and it dries out, losses colour and peels very quickly. (Look at ScottMk4's bonnet as an example)

Have to say though that white ibiza with the black strip is sweet, might try get my bro to get a white section for my black bonnet

I think im going to have a blast at it myself see how the roof goes and if its a success I'll tackle the whole car.

the vinyl im looking at using is the 'oracal 751' and for 20m of it on a 1.2m wide roll it works out at £160
All the equipment comes in at about £80 but will last a good while through numerous wraps

Hi

For anybody thinking of a vinyl wrap I'd say go for it. I've had my civic done by raccoon.co.uk and it looks amazing in white. Cost me a grand for the whole car not including bonnet (as I kept that carbon fibre).

they had car for two days and did a really good job. Cant tell its not paint unless you get close up
