Vinyl on rear tail lights

I know alot of people have been fitting these smoked rear tail lights. I seen that some one in america on an old thread had covered his tailights in a vinyl. Any idea how you think this would look on a red car, any specialists on photoshop fancying having ago to show how it will look.;)

It shouldn't be vinyl... it's a thin transparent film that you put on (halfords), alternatively there are spray paints that offer different colour finish. (etech springs to mind).

TBH I would leave the red lights on the red car... they look best as they are similar shade to the paint work and when you have the sidelights/beam on the led's look very striking.

There's the more expensive route which is a complete light unit from companies like Hella but these seem to be the new lexus lights!

I think smoked lights could only be pulled off on a red car if you had other 'dark' detailing, such as black spoiler, window tints or any vinyl graphics....Standard no!

I have put exacly those lights in my Leon. They look great but after some months i decided go back to the original Hellas with a light smoke wrap film.
As you know, there is a clear version of those lights. I like those but they are still too bright.
Consider to light smoke them a bit, will look terrific in a black car.

vinyl ! cheaper looks better, doesn't mean you need to take lights out etc.
