HI all, I am paranoid and do let things bother me that could well be no issue, and I do tune in to these things! On overrun, or costing I get a bit of transmission noise, say in 4th gear at 40MPH, if I go up or down 5MPH it goes, it just seems to be at certain gears certain speeds, a sort of 10MPH band, it comes in the goes out if you speed up or slowdown a bit, otherwise its as quiet as a mouse. Its as sooth as you like, it just seems to be a deceleration thing. its a 1.6 TDI ecomotive Altea XL (75000 miles). My other thoughts are its simply poor noise suppression, as the car does seem to be a big sound box for noise. One mechanic just put this down to normal transmission noise and no big deal, any thoughts,
