Very quick query on Offsets....

Would a +4 offset make much of a difference from the standard wheels?

(ET38 compared to ET42)

I just don't want to spend money on new wheels to find out that i need some spacers or anything.

Thanks, Chris

then don't

if you even want to lower the car, and I can;t tell from the avatar if its been lowered, then you'll have serious trouble with the higher ET wheels.

Plus you have to tell us the width of the rim to truly compare.

I run a 7.5J inch ET 35 (16") compared to the 6J standard cupra wheel, and need a 6mm spacer on the front to clear the coilovers.

I run Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1.2's - 17" with an ET of 35 on a 30mm drop. They work a treat - no spacer required, but if I put 2 lads in the back of the car (75kgs each), then the rear arches touch over speed bumps.

Ah ok i see, well they're 7j 16" BBS RXII so an inch wider than standard. My car isn't lowered and wasn't planning on doing so for a while, i had originally planned for 20mm spacers but only on the rear...just didn't want it to look odd

yes gauci thats what I was saying.

Minty remember, you're referring to a 1 inch wider wheel but with the original ET of 35.

ren is talking about a ET of 42.

btw ren, you said standard ET of 38, thats not true. THe standard cupra wheels are 36. there has been some discussion on this where others say its 35, but mine definately said 36. Anyway, then you're looking at a 1 inch wider wheel + 6 change in ET.

thats quite a bit tbh
