Hi
Seen plenty of threads saying VCDS Lite won't work with CAN-BUS connection, but they are all relatively old threads, latest one Ive managed to come across being 2013 with a 'No No' response. Is this still the case?
I'm sure I read that it was compatible on the Rosstech site but not compatible with 'Micro CAN'. Asume Micro CAN is different to CAN? Well confused, started out looking for a cheap code reader, was going to go for a Vgate 450 from previous experience when owned mk1 - (now got mk2 Leon) then got tuned into a U281 from reviews, then got tempted to look into Bluetooth adaptors and apps, now encouraged to go 3rd party lead & VCDS Lite (but now can't the thread where the encouragement came from!).
Whats the way to go on a budget? Mainly want for code reading and erasing, but if VCDS offers this and more for the same price bracket then it would be a no brainer. On costs ive seen though it would need to be a 3rd party lead and VCDS Lite combo if it is okay for CAN connector.
