VCDS fault code p2017 - 006 (008215) - FIXED

Whist driving to my mates last night the EML & glow plug light popped on showing engine fault, the car lost power for a second then was fine. Pulling away from some lights it didnt like being revved to high and cut out when it went over a certain rev range. It started back up no problems but every time its booted or revved high it dies.

There was a light cloud of smoke out the back but the turbo is still spooling up ok.

I'm getting the following fault code

Anyone had this before? Car is fine if driven slowly however, I'm worried I will cause issues by driving it all the time.

Obviously my first port of call is the intake manifold but I haven't got time to take it to bits and I'm not entirely sure where the sensor is.

Cars booked in for Monday to be looked at before I bite the bullet and purchase the BKD ally inlet manifold.

Well car was fixed today....

Turned out to be two things wrong. First was the inlet manifold actuator had failed and secondly the ASV/throttle body had failed also.
