vagcom serial to PCMCIA converter

the serial to usb converter i have been using with my vagcom lead has just broken ( usb bit has broke off) and tbh , i was fed up of it moving about n losing comms etc , and was wondering if anyone uses a PCMCIA - serial converter with any sucess , what should i look for when ordering one , or if possible a direct URL

you could always go down the serial card route (25 pin) with a 25 to 9 pin convertor which is pretty substantial compared to the flimsy usb ports. only thing is you might need two pcmcia port heights to get this card to fit as im not sure by the image if the plastics actually sit outside the enterance of the slot, touch and go.
you could probably ebay the card cheaper too

have ordered a usb serial lead off ebay , will give it a whirl 1st , cant go wrong for 5quid

I use a PCMCIA to Serial converter and it works 100% never a comms error in sight.
