VAGCOM port location

Hey guys, after having the engine light on for 5 days and it going off I want to check it myself save going to the garage, asking 40 quid for a diagnostic and as it's gone off I may as well do it myself as it can't be something bad otherwise it'd still be on.

Just wondering where it actually plugs in to?

the port is on the drivers side if you take off the wee mini glove box under the steering wheel to the right hands side its straight infront of you
