Hi matesgot a 2002 ayp ibiza cupra and his mil lights on. Ive put vagcom on it and came up with the :

Control Module Part Number: 6K0 906 032 AA

Component and/or Version: 1.8L 20VT EU3 0002

Software Coding: 10500

Work Shop Code: WSC 13876

4 Faults Found:

16500 - Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Implausible Signal

P0116 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

18010 - Shareware Version. 18010 P1602 Power Supply (B+) Terminal 30 Low Voltage

P1602 - 35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

16621 - Shareware Version. 16621 P0237 Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ Low Input

P0237 - 35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

16795 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected

P0411 - 35-00 -

Mil lights on and it struggles to start sometimes also alittle down on power.

Hes got a bmc carbon canister but the breather pipe is just disconneted with nothing on the end i.e a filter, also it sounds like his secondary coolant pump doesnt run after he switches the engine off, if anyone could help him out on this mater would be much appricited

Nobody replied yet?

Problem 1: Needs a new engine temperature sensor located on the coolant pipe. (approx £25)
Problem 2: Battery must have been disconnected at some stage, no need to worry (Free lol)
Problem 3: N75 valve needs changing (approx £50 plus some jubilee clips)
Problem 4: Check vacuum hosing for cracks/leaks or disconnections. (less than £10)

All very easy DIY jobs. When was the car last logged or cleared for faults though? If it's never been done then I would clear all the faults with VAG-COM, run it for a week or so and see what re-appears.

He needs to get the appropriate filter for the breather pipe.
If the pump isn't running then he could soon find out that his radiator fans aren't either. Check the far right fuse on top of the battery as they commonly arch and melt.
