VAG K+CAN is completely different then VCDS (VAG-COM). The Genuine VCDS(VAG-COM) interfaces can be purchased on our site or through our official distributors:
As said, genuine vag com should be purchased direct through ross tech. You can buy their cable and software or you can get a cheapo ebay cable and download the software for free from the ross tech site. If you then want to use all the advanced features of vag com you can purchase a software license through the ross tech site for about $100 i think.
MoffMeister, what year is your Leon? if earlier than 2005, our HEX, KEY or KII interfaces will do the job. If after 2005, then you need CAN support for diagnostics and you would have to go either HEX or MicroCAN. See this chart: Worldwide Compatibility Chart
Our pricing is shown on our website. We do not discount.
You can also purchase through our distributors in the UK.
Yes - all of these interfaces operate through the standard OBDII DLC port. If you have a computer with a USB port (which most have today) then I suggest this product: VCDS License with KII-USB interface
After you get your interface, you'll need to go to the Ross-Tech website and download the current version of the software. If you plan to do repairs, you should consider getting access to a factory repair manual or factory level repair site. I think there is an online service by SEAT.
