vag com south east

Has anyone got the vag com software who lives in the south east ( bromley/orpington) who will be able to help me diagnose a problem?? i will sort you out for your time and effort thanks

oh cool isnt that far then have you got the cable to read a 1.8t cupra on 53 plate??

yeah, as long as u got a ODB 2 socket in your car (usually in the front part of the centre console tray ( under cig lighter).

Does it clear any warning lights you have on the display?

not sure mate have just wiped laptop clean again and am in process of reinstalling everything what warning lights are on then

It's the one in the centre row, far right that looks like a pump.

I have some major problems which are forcing me to look at engine conversions.

Trying to find out if i have to have the same engine code as all of the 1.8 turbos seem to be the same in terms of size and shape and just there internals which set them apart.

AUQ engine code is most common unless its a very early one.

Yeah that's what mine is. Will the other engine codes not be compatible then, what's so different about them??

What other engines? the earlier ones don't have VVT I don't think.

Whats so wrong you need a whole new engine?

I need a whole new turbo fitted. Plus a few other bits here and there, exhaust sensor and something else under the bonnet, quite a hefty bill £1500.

It may well work out cheaper finding a replacement engine and putting that in instead.

I was thinking of sticking a 225 bhp audi engine in there or something similar from across the VAG range. Does it have to be of the same engine code then, or will other ones fit??
