Vag-Com Query....

Ok then, ive just had this little puppy come through the door:

Ive changed the com ports of the usb to suit and everything seems fine, ive downloaded version 409.1 of vagcom and i can read the fault codes on my car no problems....

....the problem ive got is when i try and clear the dtc's, it immediately comes up with a message telling me that i need a proffessional grade interface to clear them.

Is this a common problem that i can get around or is it just a crap lead that i should launch over the hedge?? Would i be better using 311.2??

In that case, have you referred to the manual yet?

I suppose you are using a function which is called "clear all" - therefore a software license alone won't help you.

I bought that same cable....but im not having any joy!

when doing an auto scan i select my car chasiss and it aint coming up with any results...and i no my car has faults. the interface is ok and it is attached 2 com 3. and its not inerfering with anything else.
