VAG COM Freezing

Hello all, i have purchased a cheapy cable off ebay and im using vag-com 409-1, it has connected to the ecu twice but now it keeps freezing when i select any of the modules? is it because im trying to run it on vista or is it something else? any help greatly appreciated!;)

As mork said, version 409 released in September of 2004 is not compatible with an operating system release in 2007. It will never be. Some have gotten older versions to work in the XP compatibility mode. If that doesn't work on your machine, then it's most likely never going to work.

Ross-Tech will not be going back to 4 year old versions to make them Vista compatible.
