249 valve? where is that located. i know i can pull the vac pipe off from the dv to the 249 and blank that off. not sure wherre the 249 valve is toi remove (though i think it needs to stay to keep the eml off) the vac resivior thingy ontop of the engine looks a bloody mess so that needs to vanish next. just remove it and block vac off???

infact you have the tidyest bay i'v seen (stepping on old ground by saying that i know) you got a bigger picy??

That's my understanding anyway :)

some people remove it with success, some without. Seems to vary from car to car. I tried it, got loads of issues, so put it back in.

Most of the "clutter" is in the engine bay for a reason....maybe just try relocating some bits, or alternatively, if it's your engine bay in your sig - put the engine cover back on and you won't see a lot of it :)

have run it before with the 249 baypassed, didnt have any running problems, i believe it leans you off for a half second or something? not 100% on that though. might jsut relocate it somewhere. i know most of that gubbins is there for a reason... 50% of it for emmissions etc. i plan to move most of it and tidy it up as best as possible (with in reason.

Dont want the engine cover back on, hence its now candy red and the inlet manifold is going to follow suit. just want the carbon cover that goes infront of the inlet manifold next. samco's on the way etc.
was just hoping to lose some un-necessary pipework/boxes etc. gues the vac resi can be moved out of site though!

There are more pic's in my build tread, you need to put resisters in to stop the light coming on, as mentioned lots of people have done it and there loads about it on the site.
