Vacuum hose replacement

What size would the replacement be for the vacuum hose connected to the dv? I'd like to replace the tatty oem one for a silicon equivalent.

3 or 4 mm will be fine, i forget how many times this has been covered now ...........

like i said, same with 4mm, doesnt matter which you use, i use 4mm that are just pushed on with no clamps....... 3mm also fine

either way it doesnt matter 3mm or 4mm. both are going to be good enough.

you could even go crazy and fit 3mm and 4mm.....just to be different. lol

i presume all the braided hose is possible to be changed with 3mm/4mm stuff.....

and anything else that looks that small.......

yeah pretty much anything that you can see thats small will have the same i/d.

how do u get those gay metal clips off? stick a screw drievr under the bit thats rasied? or pinch them?

yeah just jam a screwdriver in and prize them off.....you wont be needing them anyway.

Can the 'Y' pieces be re-used?

yea they can be re-used i had to get another one as mine snapped off when changing the hoses. picked up one from my local Motorist centre for about £1.10

the "Y" pieces are fragile but can be re-used....i managed to bust one at night and had to bodge an old washer jet t-piece until the morning....
