V5 Air Conditioning cut out

Ive a temp control problem with my V5 air con. When the outside temp drops below 2 c then the air con cuts out and the interior mists up immediately. With very cold weather on way it would be a mare driving round with with windows down!
I suspect the system hasnever had a service,do think this would cure the problem?

Cheers

I believe that is correct operation. The air con isn't designed to run at very cold temperatures, after all it is designed to cool a hot car rather than warm one up. It's like having a fridge in an igloo.

Just use the warm air blowers with the air con off to get rid of misting.

Yep its a safety feature as below 0-2 degrees the condensation in the system could freeze causing it to fail. Think this is the norm for most aircon systems?

It's normal. I find that if it does mist up a 1 min blast with the screen directed fan is normally sufficient to clear it.
