Has anyone used V-Power in their Cupras or TDi's and noticed any improvements?

I know they don't transform the car but turbo'd cars seem to have better gains from the V-power etc. I've just never tried it with a turbo diesel.

ive ran it in my FR TDi for the past few months and there is a small differance, i notice less smoke from the exhaust and its slightly quicker to revv, i tend to couple it with millers to get best results

I am using VPD and Millers at the moment and can't really tell the difference. I am using it as it gives more bonus points on our shell card. I think others have noticed a difference when they use ordinary diesel (and/or no additive) after they have been on the higher grade stuff. The only difference is I am now a bit more lighter in my pocket!

I can remember seeing a 5th Gear program when they tested different petrols on different cars. For an everyday N/A small car there was now difference. But for a high powered Turbocharged car (a Scooby), the Optimax (old V-Power) made 10+ extra BHP and more torque than ordinary petrol.

A lot more than that can be gained if you mix correctly some V-Power, Millers Octane Booster and some Methanol :funk:. Now that is rocket fuel for your scooby!!!

i never bother with the expensive diesels, tried them in the past and only difference i noticed was about an extra 3 quid to fill the tank.

So i am now just being a tart and running round checking who's cheapest for diesel, ie Asda etc or the 5p off vouchers from tesco......lol and using Millers additive

With Petrols its a different story. I always used v max, or preferably Tescos' 99 in the Mini. Tescos 99 is better due to the higher ethanol content giving a slightly better octane overall ( and cheaper) . Ont he Mini as it was highly tuned and mapped specifically for 99 fuel it had to be run on it. If on the odd occasion i was stuck at a petrol station with no super i tried it with normal 95 octane and it pinked like a bitch so i backed right off. after that i always carried octane booster in case the same happened again.

ran VPD last week in my FR TDi as the price dropped a tad and the engine did run slightly smoother and a tad more responsive...i've been running standard Shell diesel from new and so noticed the difference pretty quickly. As for power gains it's hardly noticeable...you'll notice the smoother running more

still wouldn't opt for VPD over standard diesel, too heavy on the pocket in the long-run
