Does anyone know if a 15m usb extension cable would still work vagcom,
i dont have a laptop so thinking of running it off the desktop computer and out the window to the car.
15m? Not likely. You should try active 2.0 USB extensions. We have tested at 10m but not beyond afaik. You can always try it but if you are having comm errors, it is likely the extensions.
From what I see there, they are using (3) 5m active extensions to make the 15m length. As I said, we have tested (2) 5m extensions and, using the ones we specify, we have had good success. Will (3) still work? Hard to say without extensive testing on the most tricky modules.
If it does not work, then simply remove one 5m length at a time until it does work.
