Urgent Help

Anyone have any ideas what the following could be ?
I have an 07 Leon Reference 1.9 TDI

I was leaving work this evening and as I pulled out of the car park the ABS, Power steering, TCS, and a couple of other fault lights came on and the needles started jumping around weirdly. I pulled over and turn off the ignition and turned it back on. All the warning lights remain on but the engine fires and then stalls immediately. If I leave the keys in the ignition without the engine on the fans spin up to max speed almost immediately and there are a number of beeps from the instrument cluster.

The last scan a couple of months ago showed a few errors like the bulb warning but all other control modules were reporting ok.

Seems like some of the Can bus has failed but any ideas where to start looking ?
It may be coincidental but earlier in the year when it was damp I was having intermittent issues with the PAS system flashing on randomly. I read that this can be caused by corrosion in the PAS ECU but could this explain the other issues ? i.e. causing a ground on the can bus signal line or something ?

Communication error, check fuses, earths and relays first.

Ok.
I have checked all fuses and relays in the main engine bay fuse box and the driver side dashboard fuse box. It appears someone has 'substituted' in some higher rated fuses in a few of the slots before I bought the car but all fuses and relays have been swapped and the fault persists.

I have disconnected head unit, and HID headlights + Can bus suppressors for the lights. These now show as fault codes in addition to the previous ones so the Can gateway etc is still functional. I have inspected all wiring I can see and cannot spot any obvious signs of issues. Interestingly before opening the bonnet I had passenger side wiper working and drivers not. Now neither are working. Car still starts and runs for around 1.5 seconds so what next ?

Does anyone know where the power steering control module is located ? My suspicion is it will be something either in the ecu or the wiring to this based on the previous issue I mentioned regarding intermittent PAS warning light a couple of months ago. Also could this be the control module in the steering column ? This was replaced a couple of years ago when cruise control was retro fitted not sure if that is significant or if the wiring could have come loose ?

I cant get hold of a mobile auto electrician until at least Monday afternoon and they want £80 just to read the diagnostic port which I already did :|
