Hi

Thought i'd try and fit my k03s turbo today, Ive got it up and axle stands, Ive been trying to get the turbo downpipe nuts off, ive got the top left one off, but the lowest one ...which is the bottom left one. I cant get it off, ive tryed a 17mm spanner with no joy, cant seem to get on the nut right as the blueflame down pipe is close to it, and a socket wont go on it because of downpipe aswell. Wat have u ppl being using to get them off? its started to piss me off:censored:

'IF' its all coming over then it might be easier to just snap the studs of the downpipe, believe me, alot of the time its easier to snap the studs than it is to undo the nut. mine sure were the other day

maybe angle grinder if theres enough room

low profile?... is that like a small socket?, i mean ive try to get a ring spanner on it but it wont fit on as the blue flame downpipe is to close. think might just cut them off

sorry for not replying to your pm mate, i think nick told me to use duck oil and leavei t to soak, either that or just dont worry about your old ones, worry about snapping your new turbo studs, i snapped a few on the old one.

Yep cheers for ur info lads, Ive done it now. Abit of pain. I Thought since i had a manifold gasket i'd take it off aswell. Made it easier . But when i was unbolting the manifold i droped a nut down and i cudnt find it. Thought i had done in the down pipe. So i had to take it off. Lucky it splits in the middle but was a bit of a pain getting it off and the bloody nut wasnt in it[:@] . anyway should go smoothly now the new turbos on . just need to refit the mainifold and the various pipes on top:p O
