URGENT help needed

Hi guys i need to know via a picture or really good description exactluy where the oil temp sender goes on my Leon.

Descrition i was given is top of the oil filter housing, apparently there is a blanking plug there but a really good pic would help.

if anyone has one or can take one asap id owe u a pint!!!!

not as such a blanking plug, more a blanking bolt, You need to get access below where the dipstick is, under the intake manifold, Look on the top of the housing that the oil filter is screwed up into, and you will see the screw which needs removing.

You wont have any oil spill over, simply unscrew, and replace with your oil tmep sender, ensuring the thread is correct and of the right length.

If its any help try looking at the ibiza guide, same engine after all in essence

think when i get the car back ill take a few piccys and edit this thread and stick it somewhere so its easy to find for the future.

found loads of info on it but no pics and mostly on a beeza.

more interestingly, find out where they have relaid the sender wire, its quite hard to get it tied to anything thats not hot!
