As above. Got the ko3s fitted today but it is going into limp mode as soon as you put your foot down or even pull away? Got a feeling it has something to do with the TIP or how it was fitted. Used the Golf Forge TIP which I understand needs trimming but the fitter fitted it without trimming any off? Looking at it it just doesn't look right, kind of looks 'messy'. Pipes are in uncomfortable positions so to speak (one of the dv pipes is almost folded in half, so I assume this is the reason for limp mode) Engine cover won't go back on now as the dv is standing upright in a different position.

The thing is I don't know how it 'should' look. Has anyone got any pics of an Ibiza with a modded Golf TIP please?

Who fitted the turbo for you? The tip should have been cut back at the turbo end so not to foul on the water hoses.

Do you have a boost gauge in car? Could be the n75 valve have been installed in reverse? Actuator setting be touched on the turbo? Check all pipework for leaks.

No pics sorry dont own the car anymore.

edit : not cutting the tip back means the other connecting pipes will be out of allignment which is why, like you say, is why your getting the kinked hose by the DV.

Hope it's just the kinked pipe. Bit worried about this talk of fouling on the water hoses though.

vag-com may be in order!

Can't comment as it has been in limp mode since fitted. I'll sort the kinked pipe tomorrow and fingers crossed it'll sort it out. Still don't like the way everything looks though.

You got any pics of yours h17och?

I also have the Samco TIP with the K03s fitted.

Wasnt fitted by myself but is all very neat and tidy :)

No problems at all when driving and the cover fits nice and snugly as well.. Or it would if i had some of the screws to hold it in place

Remember there is an extra take off pipe on the mk4 golf tip which needs to be blanked off. Its at the back of the tip if you follow it down.

It is messy so check the pipes are not folded. Also check the DV connection and its vac pipe.

The fitter has blanked the plug at the front? From them pics mine defo ain't sitting as comfortably as you guys. The dv is sitting so high the bonnet is hitting it/the pipe coming out of the top when you close it. Think i'll have to call him. Only thing is it's a 3hr journey if I have to go back to them. :(

I blanked the front one off aswell! my n75 is at the back!

only problem is the blanked off hose (which ninja has his n75 connected to) is rubbing on the top of the secondary air system valve, will that b ok?

soz, no pics of mine!

Looking at ninjas car (my old motor), the tip was cut back about an inch I believe and the blank is on the back of the tip; this retains oem placement of the N75. Without cutting the tip back it will protrude out more and will be rubbing on a water hose right by it, whether that’s enough to rub through, who knows but there’s a chance it might.

Your pipe is kinked to the DV.
Golf TIP onto Ibiza is a bit of a bodge. Better option to mate onto ibiza would be factory K03s TIP and Ibiza std intake hose into that.

You supplied the parts.
Sure this is the right TIP?
Trimming the bottom does'nt drop the height down, which is how it sounds its wrong.

Yep same tip as the others have fitted to their Ibizas. Not sure what to do. I'm gonna give Mike a call tomorrow to see what he suggests. I'll get a photo up shortly as well.

speaking with addo last night on something else.. seems a few mods req'd to get this to fit... when he ran his he used a K03s factory TIP so all plugged in as std.

be interested to hear what mods have been employed to make the golf TIP fit k03s on ibiza. (and which exact TIP is used)

I have the golf tip on my car... trimmed back 10-12mm to stop fouling near the coolant bottle.

Part number... TB1523 Golf Mk4 1.8T AWU/AWP/AWD/AWW (1) Induction

when you say trimmed back, you mean on the turbo intake end, trimming it shorter to sit further onto turbo intake yea? (just so I fully understand)

Yeah the end that sits on the turbo, so it shifts the whole unit across to the middle of the engine.

Its a pain to fit as well, tryin to tighten jubiles that are in a recessed part of the turbo isnt fun.
