Uprated 1.4 petrol engine

I happened to notice in the tech specs of the Ibiza sport on the Seat web site, that the 1.4 16 valve petrol engine has been uprated to 85 bhp. I didnt even know VAG had a 85 bhp 1.4 engine. I have the 75 bhp engine which after 4 k is loosening up well and dare I say it, even feels perky now. I havent seen anything to advertise the new engine anywhere, the latest What Car mag is still giving bhp as 75. Anybody got one ?.

I thought it was the 75bhp and the older 100bhp unit!

It was ( the 100 bhp has been discontinued by Seat for some time but is still used in the Fabia, except for the recent Ibiza DAB special edition), but I read earlier in the year that the 1.4 engine was going to be uprated in the autumn. I thought it was going to be the 1.4 FSI engine from the polo. Looking at the new What Car mag, the tested Skoda Roomster has a 1.4 85 bhp engine, maybe it will filter into other VW group models. Bhp is up but there is no real increase in torque so dont know if it will make any big difference to the way the Ibiza drives.
