Upgrading the speakers in LC

Hi Guys,

I'm going to upgrade my speakers as the standard ones, don't like the having the bass turned right up.

Can anyone recommend a decent components that can handle low frequencies, and how to stop the rattles from the window controlls?
I don't really want to change from the standard head unit, just the speakers.
