good day gents

I've been reading for a while about upgrading my car and i got confused due to the variaty of opetions and methods of upgrade
i believe some of you here has enough experience about what i'm facing

i would like your help guys even if it's just a tip of info, that would be helpful

to understand what i need is that i need my car to have 250-300 HP

i need to know if my engine is able to handle this much power or i need to change the engine to AMK or install bigger pistons in mine
if i need to install new pistons, what should i change along with it and whats the best brand

software, APR, REVO or which one is better ??

regarding turbo, should i go with K04 or the GT28, if u know any other would be better than these two, it would be helpful

about the intercoller kit, forg, milltek or any other brands would be better

downpipes and full exhaust system

i think some of you here has the same car the i have with the same engine and done some work on the car

kindly some help from you guys since i'm getting really confused

sorry for the long post and appreciated already

Max AUQ power is about 240 I think.

You might as well start with a Cupra R if you want 250+. You basically get the KO4 and better suspension for a grand over a Cupra.

Nope, check my signature ;)

K04 will get you somewhere between 250-300 if I am not mistaken.

hi mate

so u think i should go with K04 instead of GT28

u seem the to help me since you have the same engine
if you wouldn't mind i would like to take some of ur time to tell me in details what should i put in my car to reach your engine current power n torque

if you would just list down whatever things i should get and the best brand to asure the engine long life and to have fun driving the car it would be really apppreciated

;)

K04 is not the way to go. Send your own turbo away to be modified into a hybrid K03S, it'll make for a much more flexible drive. Stock K03S with stock injectors won't make over 245bhp because the injectors are at maximum duty cycle and can't supply any more fuel. Power claims above this are due to a "happy dyno".

If you want 250bhp to 300bhp. You will need the following:

Larger MAF sensor from LCR
Oversize turbo intake pipe
Hybrid conversion to your standard turbo
Front mount intercooler
Uprated Fuel pressure regulator
Larger fuel injectors
Large bore downpipe and decat/sports cat
Custom remap

This will see probably 300 - 320 bhp, certainly more than you'll get from a K04.

Very expensive to buy all that kit in one go. I'd question whether it was worth it, as you could probably sell your car, buy a 2.0 TFSi Mk2, remap that and have the power you want in a far more modern car for the same price.

i kinda like the old look of the car
thanks for the list of items
that would help me much

but u think my pistons and rods can handle 300+ HP safely or should i go for full rebuild and use bigger pistons ???
