Update Navi System Plus

Hi! I’ve tried to search here and on Google but can’t find what I’m looking for.
My 2017 Cupra ST has the Navi System Plus with maps just as old as the car. I followed the guide for updating that Seat provides but I’m struggling to get it right. Can someone please advise me on how do do this?
So far I have downloaded the complete maps (26GB), extracted and put the files on an SD-card. When I put it in one of the two slots it gets recognised as an available update but after a couple of seconds the drop down message disappears and then nothing happens.

Should the update process start by it self or do I need to do something? On Seats page it says
3. If you have a Navi System Plus install the new Navy Database.

Then nothing more.

Thanks in advance

It's best to download the maps from the VW site as they are usually more up to date than Seat, but I suspect that your FEC's are not allowing the update, i.e. no Mapcare or expired Mapcare.

Hi, thanks for your answer!

Isn't mapcare only for when you have the SD-card always in the slot? Mine has tho slots but no SD-card connected and still I'm able to use navigation.

I called my local dealer and they had no clue on how to update. I also emailed Seat customer service but haven't got any reply yet.

Mapcare applies to both systems, High with built in SSD (Plus) and standard (with maps on SD card).
There is a lot of information somewhere on this forum about updating the maps on various systems.
