morning all

just got my cupra back from getting a new breather pipe fitted.

when the breather pipe was split i could hear the turbo whistle.

after getting it replaced i can no longer hear it.

question is should i be able to hear or not and should i feel a kick when its engaged. my concern is that the turbo is not engaging.

my car is totally standard (180bhp)

thanks kev

Well I hear my turbo and I have a standard 180t you might want to run a fault scan on it also check the boost pipes/breather your self just have a good feel and look around your engine. But the answer is yes i think you should hear your turbo

I reckon you would notice a difference! are your 100% sure its not working ? I mean mine is not hugely loud but everyone can hear it outside the car if its being booted and if I open a window then I hear it louder too. But with the tunes on you might not hear it as it not that loud but deffo its there. If the turbo was not working it should have a error code stored least I would hope it did. So a fault check would help you if you know anyone with a code reader or VAG COM. But since you only just got it back be sure before you go spend unnecessary money... m8
