Hi!

I was out with a mate of mine last weekend and he has an Audi a4 3.0 s-line, when he unlocks the car his front fog lights and rear side lights come on, aswell as the normal interior lights.

Just wondering if there is anything for the Leon like that, or if it is done through the Vag-com, or is it these modules that fit through the OBD plug similar to the Revo switches.

Thanks

Andy

A4's and the like do this through the auto light sensing headlights - since the Leon doesnt have these you cant just nick the tech straight off audi, you would have to make you're own light sensing wiring harness etc and put you're own in to do it the same way as Audi. I'm sure there must be a way to link it to your central locking, but I dont know enough about electronics to be able to wire in a link to my headlights. I'd like to do this with my auto folding mirrors too.

A relay run off the + signal wire to the interior light would work.

You've given me an idea now :)

Sounds like a plan, but that would mean every time you open the doors or the boot your lights would come on........must be another way. Suppose you could run it of the electric s for the locks somehow.

Not sure what the Autowindow Brite actually does - but that might be a good place to start.

P.S. My Beemer does this, and it has puddle lights in the handles - looks well cool when it does it.

Been thinking about this more, you could use the 'lights on' signal in series with the main central light centre position switch (set so the lights come on when the doors are unlocked/open etc...) to a relay which runs the front and rear fogs taken from the head light switch on the dashboard.

Just need to know the relevant pin assignments of this switch - anyone..?

"Speed", did you look at the thing "feel" mentioned above, looks simpler....or are you just up for a challenge.
