unkown button

alrite lads, i've found a button and dunno what it does, its near the esp/tcs control button. looks like an exclamation mark inside two brackets (.!.) with set underneath. had a look in manual and can't see any reference, any ideas??

it is to do with setting the pressure settings for your tires, if one loses air it wont rotate properly and the system will alarm. Never fully understood it more than that, someone will probably be able to explain it much better.

cheers, so its to set the pressure for the tyres? how would this be done?

no its not for setting the pressure, if you get a puncture you will get a light on your dash, when this light comes on, either pump up or replace the tyre and press that button and it will reset and go back to default

IIRC

Check your tyres to make sure they are all at the correct pressure. Turn on ignition, then hold the button down until it beeps (you may have to do this whilst driving, I can't remember) This will reset the system.

The system works by using the ABS sensors on the wheels. If one of the tyres loses pressure that wheel will rotate faster than than the others which will trigger the warning.

I don't thing it works if they all lose pressure as tyres can do over time. So the pressures will still need checking manually every couple of weeks.

or Park on a (relatively) flat and level surface, ensure the tyre pressures are correct (at cold), press and hold the button (when stationery) until you hear a beep, you have now set the device to "normal".
If the warning light comes on subsequently you have a problem :think:
